At Monterey County Rape Crisis Center we know everyone has different paths in their healing journey. To help meet the needs for our diverse population MCRCC has a specialized team of clinical therapists that offer different methods of healing. Our counseling services are considered short term and can be done virtually or in person at our offices. With your donation through Monterey County Gives! the Clinical Team strives to provide more of our therapeutic services that are beneficial to our clients.

MCRCC strives to make sure therapy services are easily available to clients in Monterey County. Cindy Brodsky, our Clinical Service Director, connects with clients to assist in finding the best treatment our office can offer. Based in Monterey, Tiina Kurvi, provides unwavering support to her clients in therapy, fostering a compassionate and empathetic environment where individuals feel heard and guided on their journey toward healing. Amanda Roberts, license therapist, provides virtual services to our clients here who might find it difficult to get to our office or find a time that may work with their busy schedule. Denise Osornio and Wanda Jackson, are our invaluable bilingual therapists, who bridge the gap for our Spanish-speaking population, offering crucial support and understanding in their native language, enriching our team's ability to cater to diverse needs and ensuring accessibility to counseling services.

In the words of our newest addition to the MCRCC Clinical Team, Cindy Lugo explains “your support via MC Gives! contributes to hiring and retaining qualified therapists that provide free counseling services to victims and survivors, especially those who may not have the financial means to pay for therapy. Additionally, donations help fund training and continued professional development. This ensures therapists at MCRCC stay trauma-informed and provide best practices for supporting their clients.”
