10th Annual Fall Friendraiser
October 26, 2023
MCRCC has been hosting its annual Fall Friendraiser for a decade. The Fall Friendraiser is a beloved event that brings the community together in support of our mission. Our Fall Friendraiser began in a quaint establishment in Marina and eventually transitioned to CSUMB where supporters came together for a breakfast style gathering that brought our community together in the spirit of togetherness and support. When the COVID-19 Pandemic began we transitioned to a virtual format for a few years, still fostering connections among our supporters. This year, our 10th Annual Fall Friendraiser took on another new form at Tarpy’s Roadhouse, providing a gorgeous scenery for celebrating our decade of community and collaboration and an exceptional reason for celebration: reaching our Monterey County Gives (MC Gives) challenge gift.
This year was particularly memorable as it introduced a groundbreaking element – the first-ever challenge gift for MC Gives. Our 10th Annual Fall Friendraiser friends (pictured above) came together at our event to collectively raise funds for our MC Gives challenge gift. This achievement adds to the excitement and awareness of what MCRCC does for the community during MC Gives, which will begin on November 9, 2023. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the 10th Annual Fall Friendraiser and the MC Gives challenge gift a resounding success. This year's event showcased the incredible generosity and commitment of our community.
As we await MC Gives to start on Thursday November 9th, the MCRCC remains committed to its mission of providing ongoing advocacy, support and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse; and to prevent sexual violence in our community through education. The success of the 10th Annual Fall Friendraiser and the inaugural MC Gives challenge gift inspires us to continue our efforts and expand our reach. With the continued support of our community, we are confident that we can make an even greater impact for the next years to come.
