We are implementing an adjustment to our services.
Due to the current strain of coronavirus, COVID-19, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's guidelines requiring “prudent social distancing.” The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) will be closing its offices as of March 16, 2020 and reopen when it is safe and responsible to do so.
Though our offices are closed, MCRCC remains committed to our mission to provide ongoing advocacy, support and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse; and to prevent sexual violence in our community through education.
Our office and crisis lines are open and available for survivors and significant others to call at any time day or night.
Our Sexual Assault Counselors are available for accompaniment to Sexual Assault Forensic Exams at CHOMP and Natividad as permitted by public health guidelines.
Our therapists are conducting individual counseling sessions via a secure teletherapy platform called doxy.
Our prevention and community engagement work continues on our website mtryrapecrisis.org and our social media accounts (facebook and instagram).
Please don’t hesitate to call our crisis line via phone (831) 375-4357 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance.
