Monterey Rape Crisis Center
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to advocate for all victims and survivors of sexual assault and child sexual abuse, to prevent sexual violence in our community through education, and to provide ongoing support and healing to survivors of sexual assault.

Each season we print The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center's Advocate Newsletter to give our board members, advocates and community supporters an idea of how we are keeping busy. The Advocate is our opportunity to let you know about some of the exciting events with which the MCRCC is involved and how you can become more involved in the community. Typical features include "My Strength is not for Hurting" (Fall 2005), the "Together with Love Race" (Spring 2005) and "April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month" (Spring 2006). In addition, safety tips for preventing sexual violence are included in every edition. Another feature we are pleased to introduce is the naming of our newly trained advocated. Remember, advocate training occurs twice a year, so if you haven't yet, please fill out an application for our next advocate training session, click here.
